Iris planifola

Iris planifola White Broad-leaved Iris

Lirio de invierno

This was taken on January 7th this year. It was the first time I had seen the white form.
It flowers from November to March, one of the longest flowering plants in Andalucia.

  1. Hi Brenda. Until this year I had only seen the odd white plant but Juan Perez and I visited a site near the house call Hacho where around 10% of the plants were white!!

  2. Hi Mick. As I said I had never seen them before, but we found an area near Serrato where 90% were white. Mind you I had never visited that area before...so they most probably had been there.
