Linaria viscosa
Linaria viscosa Toadflax
This pretty Toadflax is endemic to the SW of Spain. It was found at El Rocio, Huelva province, on 2.4.2018. It can grow to an height of 60cms and prefers sandy, dry soil. It flowers from April to June. There is some discussion going on about this Linaria, so I can't be 100% sure it is the correct name.

This water speedwell can grow to an height of 1.2 metres tall and flowers from April to September. It likes running water or pools. This one was found in a shallow stream. It is present in all of Europe. It was very difficult to get a decent photograph due to the strong wind. The flowers are very tiny and delicate, 5-10mm in diameter.

This lovely annual herb is known in many countries. It produces itself by seed. It grows from 1¬5cms tall and spreads about 25cms. It is one of the loveliest blue flowers I know. It flowers from January to June. It has been reclassified into the Antirrhinaceae family.

Veronica cymbalaria Pale Speedwell
This tiny Speedwell flowers from January to May, and spreads along the ground to approx. 40cms. It can reach a height of 5-8cms. It was originally native to the Mediterranean but is now found on many continents. It was in the Scrophulariaceae family but is being re-classified. There are approx. 500 species of Veronica worldwide.
