Another white Broad~leaved iris found on 23.1.2016 among many blue ones. This was the solitary white. Many of these plants are going over and finished already due to the very dry and warm winter.

This beautiful Sea daffodil is a joy to find on beaches and sand dunes from July to October. It is a bulbous perennial native to both sides of the Mediterranean. It can grow as tall as 16ins or 40cms and has a subtle scent.  I can remember reading somewhere that the bulbs can be 2 metres down in the sand.
